On the outskirts of the capital city Berlin begins one of the most beautiful natural landscapes in Europe, the Mecklenburg Lake District. In the eastern part, the Strelitz Lakeland, not far from the Müritz-National Park lies Feldberg amidst the impressive nature reserve „Feldberg Lake District„.

Large lakes and seemingly endless tarns form a sprawling network of waterways. Together with the hilly landscape and glorious mixed forests, it lends the surroundings of Feldberg their special charm. Not only painters, musicians and writers, such as the unforgettable Hans Fallada has always been drawn to this area.
